This affects major sites around the Internet like Flickr, which is currently inaccessible due to this outage.
The AWS Service Health Dashboard cites that connectivity issues were detected just after 10:30 ET this morning. It’s affecting the eastern United States with lots of slow, faulty data.
Yahoo announced that Flickr would be taken down for maintenance starting late Thursday, until Friday.
While the time when Flickr was supposed to be back into working condition has passed some three hours ago, the site is once again down. For a brief time, Flickr was accessible to users everywhere.
Now, the “bad panda” is back on Flickr, gracing the site’s homepage. This time, the image states that the company is aware of the problem and they’re working on fixing it.
Considering the new redesign and the mostly unheard of scheduled maintenance, Flickr users are none too pleased with the service and have taken to various social outlets to complain.
